RESPONSIBILITIES OF INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS


The responsibilities of the individual Board member shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
1. Shall attend all regular and special meetings of the Board.
2. Shall vote and act in the Board meetings impartially for the good of the School District.
3. Shall refer complaints to the proper school authorities and abstain from individual counsel and action.
4. Shall work harmoniously with other Board members without trying either to dominate the Board or neglect his/her share of the work.
5. Shall familiarize himself/herself with the educational aims and objectives and policies of the District.
6. Shall represent the Board and the School District to the public in such a way as to promote interest and support.
7. Shall recognize the importance of adequate study and preparation of Board material.
8. Shall early inform the Superintendent of any public concern or special concern of the Board member.

Seeking Adult tutors for Kids College at Kootenai Afterschool Program

Monday-Thursday 3 hours a day

Seeking Adult morning tutor: Mondays 8:40AM-9:10AM, Tuesday-Friday 7:40AM-8:10AM

$12/hour

Must be energetic, enjoy working with kids and be a team player!

Afterschool program offers services to students in the KSD K-5th grade

School District #274 is accepting applications for full time and substitute bus drivers.  Call the District Office at 208-689-3631 for an application and further information or view our website at www.sd274.com.   Completed applications will be received in the District Office until positions are filled. Hiring preference will be given to Kootenai School District #274 residents.

Dear Parents:

In compliance with new state requirements and district policy, Kootenai School District is requesting parental feedback for inclusion in certified instructional staff evaluations.  The enclosed form is being randomly mailed to parents.  We ask that you respond to the questions and return the form to the school or district office.

Your input allows for ongoing parent/guardian input,  which is important in improving the quality of education for all our students. You may obtain additional forms from any school office, the school district's administrative office or by clicking on the following link.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that regular meetings of the Board of Trustees of Kootenai Joint School District #274 will be held on the 2nd Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. with the exceptions of October 9, 2017, 6:30 p.m., January 15, 2018, 7:00 p.m. and April 16, 2018, 7:00 p.m. at the Harrison Elementary School, Room 5 in said District, meetings dates as follows:
